TelevisitMD RPM

Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) involves the use of connected electronic tools to record personal health and medical data in one location that is reviewed by a provider at a different location. The data may or may not be viewed as soon as it is transmitted.
TelevisitMD provides you a handheld, or wearable, medical RPM device which syncs to an online platform that allows you to input data, and your provider to review the data. Your provider may also suggest other devices to pair with your RPM device to monitor any long-term, or chronic care, diseases, treatment plans, or recoveries. A few examples include:

  • Glucose meters for patients with diabetes.
  • Heart rate or blood pressure monitors.
  • Continuous surveillance monitors that are able to locate patients with conditions like dementia and alert healthcare professionals of an event like a fall.
  • Remote infertility treatment and monitoring.
  • At-home tests that can keep substance abuse patients accountable for and on track with their goals.
  • Caloric intake or diet logging programs.

What Can Be Monitored

There are many symptoms and conditions that can be tracked through TelevisitMD’s RPM, including:

High blood pressure

Diabetes

Weight loss or gain

Heart conditions

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Sleep apnea

Asthma

The data collected by your TelevisitMD RPM device is sent to your provider and used to update your medical history, and the collected health information may be shared with another provider, or specialist, to provide you maximum care/treatment. This allows your provider to review your medical history in the context of your current readings, or your entire health history. Often, the device can alert you when your provider has looked over the data or if he/she detects an issue that requires you to come in.

Your TelevisitMD RPM Device Benefits

4G Connection

Your RPM device comes with data service, so you do not have to worry about Wi-Fi, or having a weak Wi-Fi signal. This enables you to travel without having worries of losing service or your medical data not being transmitted.

Patient Engagement

Your RPM device allows you to play a crucial role in managing and understanding your own health conditions.

Medication Reminders

Your RPM device will provide you reminders of when you are due to take your medications. This will also help if you have already taken a specific medication and may have lost track of time and when you are due for another dose.

Audio & Video Calls

You are able to speak with your provider via audio, or video, calls directly from your RPM device.

Improved Quality Of Care

Your RPM gives you and your provider access to more relevant data about your health, thus improving overall quality and value-based care.

Better Access To Healthcare

Since your RPM allows you to complete basic health testing on your own, your provider is able to focus more on you outside of appointment times, or scheduled visits. No need to worry if you have to travel, your provider is able to access, view, and track your health, vitals and monitor symptoms from wherever you are.

Wellness Surveys

Your RPM device enables your provider to send you wellness surveys that will assist in monitoring your health, and will allow you to convey to your provider how well things are going, or if there may be any issues.

Higher Levels Of Education & Support

Your RPM gives you information and feedback about your personal conditions daily, educating you and providing support.

Peace Of Mind & Daily Assurance

Constant monitoring can give you peace of mind that any potential issues will be identified in a timely manner.

Saves Time & Money

Your RPM device can also prevent health complications if you are not able to easily travel. About 3.6 million people in the US do not obtain medical care due to transportation barriers. Transportation issues include lack of access to vehicles, broken infrastructure, long distances, and lengthy times to reach services, as well as transportation costs. This saves you money from gas, time away from work or family.

Monitor Recovery

Your RPM device can be used to track your recovery if you have been discharged to their homes post-surgery.

Is This Covered By My Insurance

Remote Patient Monitoring is covered by both Medicare and most private insurance companies. Check with your insurance provider in regard to any questions about coverage, or any co-pays.
